Thinking out of Box

Posted by kathavarta on September 5, 2008

A 99.95% challenge that you will have a wrong answer to the question asked in the passage.

Once there was loving couple travelling in a bus in a mountainous area. They decided to get down from bus at some place. After the couple got down at some place the bus moved on. As the bus moved on, a huge rock fell on the bus from the mountain and crushed the bus to crumbs. Everybody on board was killed.

The couple upon seeing that, said, ‘We wish we were on that bus.’

Why do you think they said that?!?!

If they had remained on the bus instead of deciding to get down, the resulting time delay could have been avoided and the rock could have fallen after the bus had passed…

Moral:
(1) Thinking out of the Box or Think positive in life always and look for opportunities when you can help others…
(2) Wisdom and intellect is the first thing that God created.
(3) Wisdom and intellect is every man’s friend, ignorance and illiteracy, are his enemies.

A Woman and 3 Wishes

Posted by kathavarta on September 5, 2008

A woman was out golfing one day when she hit her ball into the woods. She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.

The frog said to her, “If you release me from this trap, I will grant you 3 wishes.”

The woman freed the frog and the frog said, “Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes — that whatever you wish for, your husband will get 10 times more or better!”

The woman said, “That would be okay,” and for her first wish she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.

The frog warned her, “You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis that women will flock to.”

The woman replied, “That will be okay because I will be the most beautiful woman and he will only have eyes for me.”

So, – she’s the most beautiful woman in the world!

For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world.

The frog said, “That will make your husband the richest man in the world and he will be ten times richer than you.”

The woman said, “That will be okay because what’s mine is his and what’s his is mine.”

So, – she’s the richest woman in the world!

Then the frog inquired about her third wish and she answered, “I’d like a mild heart attack.”

Women are clever. Don’t mess with them!

Little old Lady

Posted by kathavarta on September 5, 2008

There was a little old lady, who every morning, stepped onto her front porch, raised her arms to the sky, and shouted: ‘PRAISE God!’

One day an atheist moved into the house next door.

He became irritated at the little old lady.

Every morning he’d step onto his front porch after her and yell: ‘THERE IS NO God!’

Time passed with the two of them carrying on this way every day.

One morning, in the middle of winter, the little old lady stepped onto her front porch and shouted: ‘PRAISE THE God! Please God, I have no food and I am starving, provide for me, oh Lord!’

The next morning she stepped out onto her porch and there were two huge bags of groceries sitting there.

‘PRAISE THE God!’ she cried out. ‘HE HAS PROVIDED GROCERIES FOR ME!’

The atheist neighbour jumped out of the hedges and shouted:
‘THERE IS NO God; I BOUGHT THOSE GROCERIES!!’

The little old lady threw her arms into the air and shouted:
“PRAISE GOD!, HE HAS PROVIDED ME WITH GROCERIES AND MADE THE DEVIL PAY FOR THEM!”

Happiness

Posted by kathavarta on September 5, 2008

A man was returning home after work with his cash bag.

He was very sad because he felt he worked very hard, but earned very less.

On the way he met a ‘Guru’ and told why he is unhappy.

After listening to him the Guru suddenly snatched his cash bag and ran away.

The man gave a very strong chase but didn’t succeed to get his cash bag.

Further he was saddened.

After one hour the Guru came back and returned the cash bag.

After seeing his cash bag again, the man felt very happy.

Guru advised him “One hour back, you were not happy with the cash bag. Now with the same cash bag you are happy.

This means, Happiness will not come from outside, it should come from within”.

Moral:
Happiness is not different than the sadness. It is just pink form of Sadness.

One Eye

Posted by kathavarta on September 5, 2008

My mom only had one eye. I hated her… She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.

There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed.

How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said, ‘EEEE, your mom only has one eye!’

I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, ‘ If you’re only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don’t you just die?’

My mom did not respond… I didn’t even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger. I was oblivious to her feelings.

I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.

Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts. Then one day, my Mother came to visit me. She hadn’t seen me in years and she didn’t even meet her grandchildren.

When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, ‘How dare you come to my house and scare my children!’ GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!’

And to this, my mother quietly answered, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,’ and she disappeared out of sight.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.

My neighbors said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

‘My dearest son,

I think of you all the time. I’m sorry that I came to your house and scared your children.

I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you. I’m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

You see……..when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up with one eye. So I gave you mine.

I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.

With all my love to you,

Your mother.
